On Jan 5, in Hanoi, the Institute of Information Technology - Hanoi National University held the workshop "Language processing technology and the development of Vietnam's digital content market to the world". This is major research orientation of the Institute of IT; and this orientation is consistent with the explosion of digital content market in the country and over the world in recent years.

On Nov 11, 2011, VIEGRID released the translation supporting software BOCOHAN Standard Edition version 2.3 (BOCOHAN SE 2.3). This is the upgraded version of previous versions released to users. BOCOHAN 2.3 is upgraded and added with more outstanding translation supporting features. These features will make BOCOHAN SE 2.3 become an indispensable tool for Vietnamese people working with English.

On 28 July 2010, in Hanoi, the Institute of Information Technology - Hanoi National University, VIEGRID Communication & Technology JSC in collaboration with the e-newspaper VietNamNet held a press conference to announce the report on the state of spelling in Vietnamese text.

On 25 July 2008, at Saigon Morin Hotel - Hue City, VIEGRID Communication & Technology JSC held a ceremony to commemorate 1 year of Viegrid's foundation and introduce the Grid Technology R&D Center in Hue City GRID technology is a new and modern technology which allows to take advantage of available infrastructure resources to build a virtual supercomputer with massive computing capacity. On that basis, this technology allows to provide high quality services, and develop science & technology and society & economy. This is an opportunity for poor countries like Vietnam to access modern technologies and build an information infrastructure not less than that of developing countries with an appropriate investment. Global market for this technology is on the flush of strong development and will reach the scale of 25 billion USD in 2010.

On the occasion of coming to Hue to attend the conference AIMF, on the morning of October 26, 2007, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem visited some typical Information Technology units in Thua Thien Hue, including the Department of Post &Telecommunication of Thua Thien Hue, Hue University, Hue Grid Technology R&D Center(VIEGRID), and Thua Thien Hue Software Technology Park (No. 01 Le Loi).
